'The Employment Pact Brabant is an initiative of the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant. Here you will find updated news about special events or seminars that are linked to the Employment Pact Brabant (from 1998 until 2001 known as Territorial Employment pact Brabant).

In the Employment pact Brabant the provincial and regional administration, employers en unions join their efforts to create more jobs en to fight unemployment.

The activities of the pact Brabant follow the outline of the "Werkplan" that was agreed upon by all relevant partner organisations in Brabant. Attention will be given especially to the following fields: · Labour market integration for the long term unemployed · local communities and their efforts to integrate the long term unemployed · Activities that contribute to a higher participation in the labour market of elderly (45 years and up)· Vocational (re-)training of both employed and unemployed.

The Brabant Pact promotes the exchange of good practice and ideas. You can contact the Pact secretariat for information about specific projects or initiatives.
